Fans vote for their favorite band to perform at Hall of Fame’s signature event

Voting is now open for the ROMP Festival Virtual Band Contest, creating an opportunity for emerging artists to play both the ROMP main stage and the Jagoe Homes After Party stage at this year’s event.

After last year’s ROMP Festival was postponed and eventually delayed until 2021, the event is set to return June 23-26.

Produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, ROMP Festival has partnered with Owensboro-based Jagoe Homes to design the Virtual Band Contest ahead of this year’s event.

The contest is open to all bands that play bluegrass or acoustic roots music. Bands wanting to enter the contest submitted a video, along with a band photo and bio, on the ROMP Festival website.

Fans can now view videos on the ROMP website, voting for their favorite bands and casting up to one vote per day until the contest ends. Voting closes on the evening of March 14, and the winner will be announced on March 17.

The band receiving the most votes at the end of the contest will play both the ROMP main stage and the Jagoe Homes After Party stage in 2021.
