From Steel Magnolias and Grease to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is bringing a slate of familiar favorites to the stage for its 2026-27 season. Executive Director Calli Whitmore said the 63rd season is built around productions audiences already know and love while giving each one a fresh perspective.
The organization’s 63rd season, themed “Stage ‘TWO’ Screen,” includes nine productions running from July 2026 through June 2027 at the Trinity Centre and the Empress Theatre.
Whitmore said she is particularly excited about the recognizable titles featured throughout the season.
“I am excited about this upcoming season because of the familiarity of these shows and the sense of connection they have,” Whitmore said. “Many audience members will recognize titles, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they respond to our directors’ fresh visions of these well-known productions.”
