Tommy Emmanuel has been added to the ROMP 2021 lineup. He replaces Banjo 3, who was scheduled to perform on Sept. 17 during the third night of the festival.

“Considered by those in the know to be among this planet’s greatest guitarists, his playing is simply miraculous, as it would take three musicians, or more, to do what Tommy does solo,” according to a release from ROMP officials. “It’s one thing to play these multi-dimensional arrangements flawlessly on an acoustic guitar. But to do it with that smile of the ages, that evidence of authentic, unbridled delight, is an irresistible invitation to feel his music as deeply as he does.”

ROMP is still scheduled for Sept. 15-18. Earlier this week, officials announced that ROMP Festival attendees will be required provide either proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of entering the festival.

More on that announcement can be found here. Detailed information is expected to be sent out soon regarding arrival procedures.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help with the event are encouraged to apply here. Volunteers are required to work three 4-hour shifts, with at least one shift during the evening. In exchange for volunteering, you will receive a 4-day admission to the festival with tent camping. RV camping passes are an additional purchase.
