Owensboro Symphony to present live music on the riverfront

The community is invited to stroll along the riverfront and enjoy the sounds of the Owensboro Symphony from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Smothers Park.

The Symphony Stroll is free to the community and will feature ensembles placed throughout Smothers Park, beginning with Troy Quinn and the Symphony Chamber Orchestra at the Overlook Stage and reaching all the way to BB&T Plaza where a jazz quartet will perform.

Throughout the park, patrons will enjoy hearing performances from the Owensboro Symphony’s Percussion Ensemble, Brass Quintet and String Quartet. The performances will consist of a broad array of musical selections and styles, from Broadway to Jazz to Orchestral works. 

The Owensboro Symphony requests attendees follow these guidelines while in attendance:

  • Face masks are recommended and encouraged
  • Keep at least 6 feet distance between other attendees
  • Keep your distance from the performers
  • If you are ill, please refrain from attending
