The Downtown ROMP: Air Show After Party is coming back this August. This year’s lineup features Wolfpen Branch, Fireside Collective, Airshow, and The Barefoot Movement.

The inaugural event was held in 2019, and the concert, presented by Owensboro Health, will be held again on the outdoor stage of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum following the Owensboro Air Show on Aug. 14.

Gates to the outdoor stage area and lawn open at noon for ticket holders. Live music on the outdoor stage starts following the air show at approximately 4 p.m.

Hall of Fame Executive Director Chris Joslin said the Air Show is a signature event in the community, and the After Party is become the “perfect complement.”

“Working closely with Owensboro Health on this event is a great opportunity to highlight our partnership and their ongoing commitment to Arts in Healing,” he said. “Also, it makes sense that the Bluegrass Music Capital of the World finds a way to highlight bluegrass music alongside the Blue Angels.”

Wolfpen Branch is a new band comprised of several familiar faces in the emerging Bluegrass music scene. With a style that draws from the traditional yet pushes towards the progressive, Wolfpen Branch is a high-energy, Kentucky-made bluegrass quintet.

Fireside Collective hails from Asheville, North Carolina, and is a familiar favorite with ROMP fans. Blending the characteristic interplay of bluegrass instrumentation and harmonies with strong original material and exuberant energy, Fireside Collective has drawn on folk, blues, funk and a wide variety of bluegrass sounds to create a distinctive body of work that’s all their own.

The Barefoot Movement, also formed in North Carolina, has also performed at ROMP Festival. Known for their Americana sounds blended with bluegrass and a bluesy grit, The Barefoot Movement is consistently exploring new musical territory.

Airshow is an acoustic rock and bluegrass band based in Nashville. The band combines Americana and jam band roots to create their high-flying sound.

Tickets are on sale now for Downtown ROMP: Air Show After Party.

Seating is not provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Tickets are $20 each for the entire event, and children 6 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased here or at the Hall of Fame box office Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
