FA5 Week 12: Packed lineup to offer party along the riverfront; battle of the bands wraps up

Week 12 of Friday After 5 will be backed with entertainment. From the final week of a battle of the bands — with the winner opening for the boy band ATCK in the FA5 season finale — to a dance party with local artist DJ Shay and more, this week’s lineup is action-packed.

At the Jagoe Homes Patio stage, the winner of the WBKR Friday Night Fight battle of the bands will be revealed as the eight finalists take the stage starting at 6 p.m. The winner will opening for ATCK (All The Cool Kids) — made up of members from Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, 98 Degrees and a winner of The Voice — at the Ruoff Party Stage on Sept.

Headliner and singer/songwriter Miles Daniel will offer a mix of retro- to modern-influenced pop, R&B and dance-rock at the Jagoe Homes Patio stage, while DJ Shay puts on a show further down the riverfront at the Ruoff Mortgage Party Stage.

Hadassah & The Keys, 2 Miles Back, and She round out this week’s lineup.

Street closure and parking: 

The City of Owensboro will close 2nd Street to traffic from Daviess Street to St. Ann Street on Friday starting at 5 p.m.

The parking structure on Daviess Street can still be accessed with a $5 fee. The parking structure on Locust Street is free for the first two hours, with a fee of up to $6 after that.
