Andy Brasher and Tamarra Miller are living their dream this holiday season. Downtown music venue Brasher’s Little Nashville — the duo’s brainchild for bringing the flair of the booming Tennessee musical hotbed to Owensboro — is off to a great start and ready for a packed schedule to finish out the year.

The couple share a common dream for making downtown Owensboro a must-visit attraction in western Kentucky, something that coaxed the two into completely rethinking the space. That dream has led to a host of live shows every week, along with a full-service bar to bring the spirits to the season.

“We both have a great passion for music,” Miller said. “It’s been our dream to create a world-class venue right here in the hometown we love and to introduce our community to the best musical experiences possible. Downtown Owensboro has so much to offer. We love our location and love that we are in the heart of it all.”

Part of rethinking the space was the acoustic treatment the building received to help provide the highest quality experience for live music that could be had, and the community has responded to those efforts by fully embracing Miller and Brasher and their creation.

Each weekend since their Oct. 15 opening, Brasher’s Little Nashville has reached capacity or near-capacity crowds.

“The community has totally embraced us,” Brasher said. “People say they love the look and vibe of the place, and they say the music sounds great. We love providing great entertainment for the community and we are having so much fun doing it.”

As the Christmas season comes into full focus, there are several opportunities to celebrate in style with the community at Brasher’s Little Nashville (BLN), located at 123 W. 2nd Street.

Continuing into the New Year’s Eve action, patrons can also participate in the Rhinestone Cowboy New Year’s Eve Party by reserving tickets now. The New Year’s Eve bash will boast musical performances from Elliott Sublett, along with Andy Brasher Band and Friends. Brasher and Miller expect tickets to go quickly for the big night.

Membership deals with special perks are also a way to guarantee a spot in all the action at BLN, something Brasher and Miller are happy to offer to the most loyal of customers.

To top off all the holiday action, the weeks leading up to Christmas and New Year’s will consist of the usual slate of nine shows from Thursday through Sunday at the live music venue. Private bookings and shows are also available at various other times and can be booked by getting in contact with Brasher or Miller.
