Cochren & Co. — a Dove Award-nominated Christian adult-pop group, will perform for free in Owensboro from 5-8 p.m. Friday. It marks the second concert for the new “First Fridays” series that takes place on the outdoor stage at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum.

The free event will feature food trucks, activities for children, and live music. The Hall of Fame will sell concessions, but this will be an alcohol-free concert series creating a family friendly environment for people of all ages. Seating will not be provided, so attendees need to bring their own chair or blanket. No outside coolers permitted.

Michael Cochren is a singer/songwriter and worship leader born and raised in a small Indiana town. After graduating school, he began playing music across the country with a band of friends under the name Cochren & Co. They blur the lines between American pop, soft rock, and soul/blues to create a sound all their own.

The group is now touring coast to coast performing songs from their latest record Don’t Lose Hope featuring such radio hits as One Day and Church (Take Me Back). Their music tells stories of hope, grace, and second chances.
