Kate and Jason Higdon opened Captured Moments Photography in 2004, constantly evolving to keep up with the latest trends in the industry. The international award-winning photography studio secured a 4,600 square foot state-of-the-art facility on Old Hartford Road in 2010, allowing them to expand their services.

Kate Higdon entered the profession more than 17 years ago as a young parent. She remains committed to furthering her knowledge and skills by constantly attending continuous education.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced Captured Moments to shift their services slightly, specializing now more than ever. But one thing remains constant, dedication to customer service and producing beautiful and timeless portraits for their clients.

“We’re more specialized now than ever before. We’ve honed in on what we enjoy and how we can best serve the community,” Higdon said. “Our main emphasis right now is high school seniors, professional portraits, and families.”

Higdon operates under the philosophy that life should be fun, individuality should be celebrated, and love should be cherished. She said that is the vibe they strive to keep in the studio and project into every session.

“Our goal for each photo session is to provide our clients with a stress-free experience,” she said. “We understand the importance of each session and want to offer each family a wonderful experience ending with timeless portraits they will cherish for years to come.”

In celebrating February and March as professional portraits months, Captured Moments is offering savings of $80 on professional portraits.

They are also on the hunt for a spokesmodel for the class of 2023. Current juniors can access their social media accounts to apply for the position.

Captured Moments offers complimentary in-person consultations where they introduce themselves and the studio and immediately begin discussing all the details of a shoot.

“We will discuss clothing options and backgrounds and explain our products and pricing in detail,” Higdon said. “We can plan your session at that time and alleviate the stress that photo sessions can sometimes bring.”
