Ava Bouie can check being in a music video with Dolly Parton off her bucket list.

The Owensboro High School Class of 2022 graduate could be seen just behind Parton in the country superstar’s music video promoting the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris.

In the music video released Wednesday, Parton sings renditions of famous Queen hits “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You.”

Speaking on how the opportunity to be in the video came about, Bouie said she is signed with a talent agency out of Nashville, and she recently found out she had been short-listed for a project with Parton.

“I found out about two weeks before the shoot took place,” she said. “We shot the video in Lavergne, Tennessee, on May 20, and the experience was surreal. I really enjoyed it.”

In the portions of the video Bouie appeared in, dozens of people filled a set of bleachers, with Parton positioned in the center. Bouie sat in the row behind Parton, just over the singer’s left shoulder. Bouie can be spotted in a red shirt.

Bouie said she got to take selfie with Parton.

“Dolly was super sweet,” she said.

Bouie is a full-time college student. However, after this project and an appearance in a video for up-and-coming country singer Willie Jones, Bouie said she has been able to explore the entertainment industry while having fun and meeting new people.

“I am hopeful this leads to other opportunities,” Bouie said.
