A few big names in southern gospel music are coming to Owensboro for a two-day event at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum. The performance will be held December 1 and 2, beginning at 7 p.m. each night.
The first night features The Hoppers and The Williamsons (tickets and more info on the groups here). The second night features Barry Rowland & Deliverance, New Ground, and the Dixie Echoes Quartet (tickets and more info on the groups here).
“Bluegrass has always had a strong gospel music influence, and for good reason. It’s part of the cultural roots of bluegrass, and I can think of no better way to make a joyful noise at the Hall of Fame than with two full days packed with great southern gospel music,” Hall of Fame Executive Director Chris Joslin previously said.
The event is being put on by the REAL Southern Gospel Radio and Events.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join forces with the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum,” Les Butler, REAL Southern Gospel Organizer, previously said. “REAL Southern Gospel will be bringing world-class southern gospel music to this world-class facility. We can’t wait.”
