A Harley motorcycle group is ending its annual ride in Owensboro this June.

The Harley Owners Group (HOG) Chapter #5230 out of Kirkwood, Missouri, plans to roll into Owensboro around 5:30 p.m. on June 22. More than 100 riders will cover 337 miles, starting in St. Louis and making multiple stops in cities on their way to Owensboro. The route is focused on backroads and more scenic views.

“This is where the next great adventure begins,” said JoAnn Fanning, a member of the group. “It’s about finding a wonderful location where we can make great memories with our group of members who are also our friends, brothers, and sisters from all different backgrounds and enjoy a similar lifestyle and hobby. It gives us an opportunity to get a little closer to one another as well as have fun. “

HOG #5230 is the 4th-most active HOG group in the United States, with over 400 members.

City of Owensboro Director of Public Events Tim Ross said: “We are privileged to host dozens of groups throughout the year that select Owensboro for the tremendous atmosphere along our riverfront. The HOG group will undoubtedly create fantastic memories on Saturday evening downtown with live music at our Downtown Summer Jam in McConnell Plaza along with an assortment of food trucks.”
