Two students from iTumble and Bounce’s power tumbling and trampoline team have been named Kentucky All-Stars.

Cara Schaefer, 10, and Chloe Schivers, 16, have competed for 5 years and were named to the Kentucky All-Star team earlier this month.

Coach Renee King said the team started training in June for competition season which began in January.

“During those 7 months of training, students worked hard to achieve the skills required to compete, choreographed routines using the acquired skills, and practiced tirelessly to perfect their routines,” King said.

The Kentucky All-Star team comprised the two highest-scoring athletes in their respective levels and events for the season.

Schaefer and Schivers both achieved their all-star status for their trampoline routines.

The two iTumble team members will compete at the state meet for a championship title and to qualify for the 2024 USTA National Championship which will be held June 17-22 in Louisville.

The team’s season record includes 43 first-place titles, 26 second-place titles, and 10 third-place titles, including three high-point awards on trampoline (Sadie Barnett and Chloe Shivers 2x), one high-point award on double-mini trampoline (Sadie Barnett) and one high-point award on Tumbling (Cara Schaefer), which puts the team in a favorable position to become state and national champions, King said.

“The athletes for iTumble and Bounce are so pleased that our home state was chosen to the 2024 national competition and look forward to representing Kentucky,” King said.
