Do you take pride in your lawn or landscaping? City residents can enter to win the third annual “Owensboro’s Nicest Lawn in the Neighborhood” contest. One winner will be chosen from each of the 12 Owensboro Neighborhood Alliances, then a public vote will be held to determine the overall winner, which receives a $500 gift card.
Citizens are able to nominate either their own lawn or someone else’s. Nominations are being accepted through June 3. To submit a nomination or learn more, visit the contest website here. To be eligible, residents must live within the city limits of Owensboro and be 18 years or older.
A release from the City of Owensboro says “Whether it’s a breathtaking display of wildflowers, impeccably maintained greenery, or any other unique feature that defines beauty in your eyes, we want to see it! This contest celebrates the beauty and creativity of local lawns, inviting citizens to showcase their outdoor pride and talent.”
After the 12 Neighborhood Alliance winners are chosen, those finalists will move on to a public vote held on the Owensboro Neighborhood Alliance Facebook page to compete for the grand prize. Public voting will take place from June 10-13, with the winner announced on June 14.
Each of the 12 finalists will receive a $100 gift card to Integrity Nursery & Outdoor Living, and the grand prize winner will receive a $500 gift card
