After Sydni Garrett struggled with infertility, she found herself on a journey to find answers. Garrett’s experiences led her to establish Flourish Holistic Health this year.

“It started when I was struggling to get pregnant with our son Jack who’s now 2,” Garrett said.  “I went to my OB and asked what to do about it, and was told my hormones were off. For some reason, it didn’t sit well with me.”

Garrett wanted to know why her body wasn’t allowing a baby to be conceived. Six months after she made several lifestyle changes, little Jack was on the way.

This led Garrett to believe there may be more pieces to the puzzle when it comes to health and well-being.

“I saw a lack of education in foods that nourish a growing family and I saw things that can wreak havoc on your body. Our emotional state is connected to our gut. Sometimes our body is telling us that something is wrong. It can’t just be covered up with Tylenol or ibuprofen,” Garrett said.

Garrett began to ask herself how she could help others who found themselves in a similar situation as her.

After being introduced to IASIS Microcurrent Nuerofeedback, which takes the brain from fight or flight to rest and healing stage, Garrett found great success for herself and wanted to share it with others.

“Fight or flight is not a good state for your body. Your body can heal in a state of rest. Healing takes time,” Garrett said. “Medications may help to take the edge off, but they don’t teach you or your body to work through the patterns. IASIS changes neural pathways to not react in the anxiety state.”

Services include the use of Functional Lab work and Micro Current Neurofeedback therapy to identify the underlying cause of a range of symptoms including high blood pressure, weight gain, acne, high cholesterol, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. The goal is to develop a customized healing protocol to restore the body in all facets of wholeness.

Garrett is a certified health coach and a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDNP).

Garrett says she would love to create a whole center focused on healing — including counseling, workouts that are good for the body, and nutritional guidance.
