Owensboro Dance Theatre is hosting auditions next week for its pre-professional company and apprentice company for the 2024-2025 season. Featured performances this year include the annual community favorite “The German American Bank Nutcracker” and the vibrant spring show “In Concert featuring Willy Wonka & The Golden Ticket.”
Auditions will be held from 4:30-6:45 p.m. on August 7 at the resident school, Johnson’s Dance Studio (2705 Breckenridge Street). Dancers interested in auditioning must be 11 years old by the audition date, intermediate to advanced level, and proficient in both ballet and jazz. Dancers must come prepared to take classes in both styles.
ODT boasts both a pre-professional company and an apprentice company, with dancers committing to 10 hours of training each week, in addition to rehearsals for major productions.
