The Owensboro Symphony is still hosting its fifth annual Symphony Stroll tonight — although the event has been moved indoors to various locations downtown. The free community event invites residents to listen to live performances by talented ensembles from the Owensboro Symphony.
The event, presented by Jagoe Homes, will still run from 6-8 p.m. Due to the weather forecast, the new indoor locations for each ensemble are as follows:
- Troy Quinn and the String Orchestra will play at the Owensboro Symphony office in the Waymond Morris Recital Hall
- The Woodwind Quintet will play at The Pub on Second
- The Brass ensemble will play at Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville
- The Percussion ensemble will play in the Owensboro Symphony lobby
- The Jazz Trio will play at Lure Seafood and Grille, with an encore performance from 8-9 p.m.
“We are thrilled to bring the Symphony Stroll back for the fifth year,” Gwyn Payne, CEO of the Owensboro Symphony, said previously. “This event has become a favorite. People love the casual atmosphere and being up close and personal with the musicians.”
