Owensboro Health has opened a new laboratory collection site, with officials saying it will offer walk-in lab services with no appointment required and minimal wait times.
The facility is located at 2200 East Parrish Avenue, Building H, Suite 101 (next to Nikos). It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“The new specialty lab provides a seamless experience for patients with a valid lab order,” a release from OH says. “It allows for the collection and drop-off of samples, just like at other Owensboro Health outpatient locations. Looking ahead, the site plans to offer molecular testing, further expanding the services available to the community.”
This new facility is the 16th lab collection site in the Owensboro Health System, which has collection sites in seven counties: Daviess, Grayson, Hopkins, Henderson, Muhlenberg, Ohio, and Perry.
“We are deeply devoted to your long-term health and are committed to bringing you the providers and programs that are right for you today and every day,” said Eric Bailey, executive director of laboratory at Owensboro Health. “This new site is another step in our mission to ensure that the communities we serve have access to the healthcare services they need, close to home.”
