Right to Life Owensboro will host its annual Walk for Life this Saturday. The event, which is approaching 50 years in Owensboro, is expected to draw community members who wish to show their support for the pro-life movement.
Stacey Davis, executive director of Right to Life Owensboro, said they created the walk just a couple of years after forming the organization in the 1970s.
Davis describes the Walk for Life as the group’s biggest public display of support for their cause.
“It’s a free event that brings the community together,” she said. “We encourage people to make homemade signs, create T-shirts, and come out with their groups to support the Right to Life.”
The event starts at 10 a.m. at Lourdes Catholic Church at 4029 Frederica Street, and registration is not required.
