The Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club’s annual Chefs Giving event is back, with organizers saying there will be some “spooktacular” new twists. The event, themed “Bites & Frights,” includes a live and silent auction in addition to a social hour and food ranging from apps to main dishes to desserts. Organizers are still accepting “chefs” — but don’t worry, no culinary experience is required.
The 3rd Annual Chefs Giving event is set for October 19 at the Owensboro Convention Center in the German American Ballroom. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the social hour, with the event beginning at 6. A live auction, silent auction, and a photobooth can all be expected during the event. Prizes will be awarded for various Halloween costume categories for both Chef teams and guests.
Chef teams will provide the “Bites” with their best food samples, and the “Frights” can be expected during the event. There is no entry fee to be on a chef team and no culinary experience is required. Each Chef team has a goal of earning tips to help raise money for the Boys & Girls Club, and they will all be competing for the “Top Chef” spot.
