A new Owensboro-based business is helping people find balance and healing through handcrafted products rooted in spiritual and metaphysical practices, according to owner Summer Green Westerfield.
Westerfield launched the online store with the assistance of her fiancé Ray Harris. The shop offers an online collection of crystals, candles, jewelry, home décor, and more — all designed to support energetic well-being and intentional living.
“We’re creating something special with Be Here Now: A Guide to Spiritual and Metaphysical Fitness,” Westerfield said. “It’s a lookbook that pulls together all the categories of items we offer and helps people find the tools they can return to again and again.”
The business officially launched in June after several years of personal study and preparation. Westerfield said she began collecting crystals about five years ago and gradually immersed herself in astrology, tarot, and other spiritual tools. That passion eventually turned into a business idea, especially after she was injured and found it difficult to maintain steady work.
“I decided I was just going to make my own job,” she said. “And Ray has been helping me the whole way.”
Many of the products are handmade and customizable, including dreamcatchers, intention jars, and jewelry. Westerfield said everything is created with meaning and care, and she’s open to custom orders for people looking for something more personal.
Initially launched on Shopify, Be Here Now now operates through Depop — a platform where Westerfield has already found success both locally and beyond. She hopes to open a brick-and-mortar location sometime next year.
