The City of Owensboro will host its annual surplus auction on May 7, offering a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and other items to the public.
The auction begins at 10 a.m. at the Owensboro Sportscenter. Pre-registration and item inspection will be held on May 6, from 2-4 p.m.
Among the vehicles available are dump trucks, vans, utility vehicles, and passenger cars. Notable listings include a 2014 Freightliner tandem dump truck, a 2015 Ford F-150, a 2011 Ford F-550 dually, a 2016 Ford Transit, and a 2006 Pontiac GTO. A 2008 Harley V-Rod motorcycle is also included.
Several buses will be auctioned, including Thomas and International models, along with multiple Ford cutaway buses with 6- to 20-passenger capacities.
Heavy equipment and machinery will also be available, including forklifts, skid steers, excavators, tractors, generators, mowers, trailers, and a variety of landscaping and maintenance tools. Items range from a John Deere excavator and CAT skid steers to aerators, sprayers, and pressure washers.
Additional items include kitchen equipment such as cook-and-hold units, service lines, and refrigeration units, as well as more than 50 assorted bicycles.
All purchases must be paid at the auction. The city will accept cash or check, as well as Visa and MasterCard, with a 3.5% processing fee. There is no buyer’s premium. All items are sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties.
Buyers are required to remove all purchased items from the parking lot by 5 p.m. on the day of the auction.
