Nonprofit leaders across the Owensboro area will have an opportunity to connect and learn during a regional forum hosted by the Kentucky Nonprofit Network on Wednesday.

The Owensboro Regional Forum is scheduled for April 29 from 9 a.m. to noon at Audubon Area Community Services, 1700 W. 5th St. Check-in and networking will begin at 8:30 a.m. The event is free and open to KNN members as well as other nonprofit professionals, though advance registration is required through the KNN website.

Organizers say the forum is designed to help organizations navigate an evolving landscape shaped by policy changes, funding challenges, and increasing community needs.

Topics will include public policy developments at the federal, state, and local levels, key takeaways from the 2026 state legislative session, and new insights from KNN’s “More Than Charity” data, including tools to help organizations communicate their impact. Attendees will also learn about available resources and member benefits through KNN.

Following the forum, participants can attend an optional session on nonprofit board governance led by KNN CEO Danielle Clore. The session, titled “What Every Nonprofit Board Member Needs to Know,” will focus on roles and responsibilities of board members, along with practical guidance for supporting organizational leadership and fulfilling legal obligations.

More information and registration details are available through the KNN website, kynonprofits.org.
