Tree seedlings will be available for free on Thursday thanks to the annual giveaway initiative by the Daviess County Conservation District.
The giveaway will be held at Yellow Creek Park at 5710 KY 144. Distribution begins at 8 a.m. and continues until supplies run out, which typically occurs by lunch or shortly after. There is a limit of 10 seedlings per person.
This year’s seedling selections include: Eastern Redbud, Pawpaw, Cypress, Nuttall Oak, Persimmon, Sugar Maple, Black Cherry, Black Walnut, Northern Red Oak, and White Pine.
