Friends of Sinners will celebrate recovery and raise support for its addiction recovery ministry during Unchained 2026. The free, family-friendly event is open to the public and will feature live Christian music, children’s activities, and food, plus a bike benefit ride.
Unchained is set for August 8 at Chautauqua Park and will also include testimonies and a Friends of Sinners client graduation ceremony. Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and spend the day at the park. Activities will also include free face painting, a bounce house, and opportunities to learn more about local nonprofit organizations.
Before the event, Friends of Sinners will hold its annual Bike Benefit Ride to raise money for the organization’s residential addiction recovery ministry. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with riders leaving at 9 a.m. The ride costs $20 per participant and will return to Chautauqua Park in time for the start of Unchained.
According to Friends of Sinners, proceeds from the ride support its long-term, Christ-centered residential recovery program for men and women battling addiction. The nonprofit, founded in 2009, said it relies on donations, grants, churches, businesses, and community partners because it does not bill insurance.
“We believe recovery is possible for everyone,” said Jordan Wilson, executive director of Friends of Sinners. “Unchained is an opportunity for our community to celebrate transformed lives, support those still fighting addiction, and experience the hope that is found through Jesus Christ.”
