Chick-fil-A is a restaurant known not only for their chicken, but also the kindness and “it’s-our-pleasure”-attitude that employees extend to every customer. Today, that kindness went beyond the Frederica Street restaurant, when Chick-fil-A team member, Daniel, offered a meal to woman and her dog at the neighboring Shell station.

Chick-fil-A Owensboro owner, Mark Whiteman, said he trains his staff to have a spirit of generosity.

“We have a heart for the community,” Whiteman said. “Chick-fil-A is a platform to serve.”

Whitman said this act of kindness was actually started by the restaurant’s bread supplier, who first offered the woman his own drink. Daniel, who has been with Chick-fil-A for six years, saw this gesture, replaced the supplier’s drink and then offered the woman a meal.

Owensboro Times found a post on Facebook documenting Daniel’s act of kindness.

“I love Chick-fil-A, everyone knows this about me,” Olivia Greer wrote. “But their values and employees go above and beyond to make the company a unique, remarkable one.”
