Tues., Sept. 18, is National Cheeseburger Day. Several local Owensboro restaurants are offering cheeseburger specials in honor of this delicious day.
Burger Theory
Burger Theory, located in the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront, is offering a free classic cheeseburger for lunch and dinner from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., while supplies last.
“We are thrilled to be giving away hundreds of our Classic Cheeseburgers in celebration of National Cheeseburger Day,” said Louis Hayes, Food and Beverage Director for Burger Theory. “Do your taste buds a favor and come celebrate the best day of the year with us at Burger Theory Owensboro.”
For those looking for a little more than the Classic Cheeseburger, Burger Theory will also be featuring the Cheese Louise for a limited time. The Cheese Louise is a stuffed cheeseburger made up of three kinds of cheese loaded into a half-pound Certified Angus Beef burger patty.
In the spirit of keeping the burger celebration going, Owensboro Times checked with other local restaurants to see to see what specials they might be offering.
Colby’s Fine Food & Spirits
Colby’s Fine Food and Spirits will be featuring their Hickory Burger, which consists of a half-pound burger on an egg bun, topped with barbeque sauce, ham and cheddar cheese. This burger special will be available through lunchtime, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Gary’s Drive In
Gary’s Drive In will be offering a free medium drink with the purchase of any cheeseburger and fries.
Wonder Whip
Wonder Whip will be giving away a free order of fries with the purchase of a Wonder Burger to everyone that mentions National Burger Day.
