Celebrated on October 14th, National Dessert Day gives people permission to enjoy dessert.
Great Harvest Bread Company is serving several fall favorites. Along with holiday sugar cookies, brownies, cookies, and the ever-popular pumpkin cream cheese rolls, customers can choose from several sweet breads: chocolate brownie, red velvet cake, snickerdoodle, hummingbird and pumpkin chocolate chip.
Catering coordinator Debbie Hancock says that because the pumpkin cream cheese rolls and pumpkin chocolate chip bread are so popular, Great Harvest will sell those every day through Thanksgiving.
They also offer pumpkin bars on Fridays and, starting Thursday, pumpkin cinnamon rolls will be added to the menu.
The best way to observe National Dessert Day is to try one of Great Harvest’s many traditional desserts, which is even easier given free samples of various breads are available daily.
