Over 850 people came out for the RiverPark Center’s 22nd Taste of Owensboro held Monday, Oct. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. The event catered to those with a liking for both classic comfort food and high-end dinner options as over 30 restaurants and four wineries handed out food samples and wine tastings.

The event served items ranging from jambalaya to homemade desserts, from gourmet pizza to barbeque.

Diane Earle, a Kentucky Wesleyan College music professor and pianist for the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, played in the Jody Berry Theatre for the duration of the night.

Roxi Witt, executive director at RPC, said the event raised over $22,000 for the center’s education programs.

“We’re very proud of that as well,” Witt said. “We appreciate everyone’s help.”

Roy Kyle & The Hot Rod Cruisers played classic rock hits outside on the patio where hundreds of guests sat to enjoy their food and drinks.

Kentucky Legend and Ruoff Home Mortgage helped sponsor Taste of Owensboro.
