Shogun Express, located at 3415 Frederica St., held its grand opening Tuesday, April 23. This occurred after a soft opening and two-week transition period to allow employs to get acclimated to the new restaurant and ease into the new location, according to owner Ronnie Salvador.
With seating for forty, the Frederica location hopes to offer a “small, fast casual” environment, along with a drive-thru menu, according to Salvador.
This is not the only express option for hibachi and sushi lovers. Salvador said the Shogun of Owensboro location at 2127 E. Parrish Ave. also offers a drive-thru option. But the restaurant owner said he believes there is a need for a location not on the east side of town.
“Some people live on this side and want to stay on this side,” Salvador said of the new Frederica location.
