With progress being made on the inside of McAlister’s Deli, the new highway 54 restaurant projects a July 5 opening date.
The deli has posted on social media that it is currently hiring assistant managers, hourly managers and crew members.
In August 2018, McAlister’s Deli corporate office confirmed the new restaurant would be built at 2065 E. Parrish Avenue, making it one of over 400 McAlister’s restaurants in 28 states.
Key Construction out of Evansville, Ind. is in charge of the constructing the five-unit building, with McAlister’s Deli taking one unit. Originally projecting an early spring opening, winter weather and considerable earthwork led to delays.
According to the McAlister’s Deli website, they offer “a unique menu with sandwiches, salads, spuds and a heaping spoonful of southern hospitality.”
