Owensboro’s Penguin Point has officially closed permanently, roughly seven months after the location first opened.

Penguin Point was located in the former Captain D’s location at 830 Chuck Gray Court just off Frederica Street near the bypass. The location opened in mid-October of 2020.

Penguin Point is based in Warsaw, Indiana, with roughly 15 locations in that area. In October, company officials said they wanted to expand and move south. At that time there were a couple Penguin Point locations outside Indiana, and a Louisville location was also being added.

As of Friday, the restaurant’s website no longer lists any locations outside of Indiana.
