Sonic Drive-In is planning a second location in Owensboro, a spokesperson confirmed Thursday. The additional Sonic location will be at 2510 West Parrish Avenue next to Taco Bell, though a timeline for opening is not yet available.
A member of the Sonic public relations team provided a statement via email Thursday from the franchisee regarding the location in Owensboro.
“While timing and details are not yet available, I can confirm that a new Sonic Drive-In location is being planned at 2510 W. Parrish Avenue. The location will be in addition to the current Owensboro drive-in and will be owned and operated by Penny Guthrie and her team at D&B Properties, Inc. We look forward to bringing even more of the one-of-a-kind Sonic Drive-In dining experience and all the craveable flavors and convenience our menu offers to the Owensboro community.”
There is also currently a Sonic Drive-In located at 3107 Frederica St.
