Ernesto’s Mexican Bar & Grill is opening a second location on the east side of Owensboro, according to a social media post Tuesday evening.
According to the post, Ernesto’s new location will be at 2065 E. Parrish Ave. in the space that formerly housed Moe’s Southwest Grill.
The announcement came via Facebook from Oscar Martinez, who co-owns the restaurant with his brother Ernesto.

The current Ernesto’s location is at 611 Emory Drive in Wesleyan Park Plaza. The restaurant first opened in 2020, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic forced restaurants to close.
Once they were able to reopen, a structure fire shuttered their doors again in June 2020. Donations and support from loyal patrons and business partners helped Martinez and his business stay afloat.
