Highway 54 will be getting a bit hotter in the winter with Firehouse Subs opening their doors at the top of the year, according to John Iracane with 54 Property Management.
Iracane, who operates the strip, said that the sub shop will be located on Heartland Crossing in the southmost suite. Firehouse will continue to operate their location at 5220 Frederica Street.
The restaurant offers hot specialty subs, salads, and more, with many menu items featuring names inspired by a firehouse such as Hook & Ladder, Engineer, and Firehouse Hero. The restaurant was founded in 1994 by former firefighter brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen, and it now has more than 1,210 restaurants nationwide and abroad.
Firehouse Subs will be located in the leftmost space of the three-unit building, which is located on Heartland Crossing next to the current center that includes Red Wing.
