Owensboro Health has purchased The Springs Health Centre, a medical office complex located near KY 54, from Malcolm Bryant Corporation. The purchase adds four additional buildings and a 5-acre plot of land to Owensboro Health’s portfolio, and officials say it positions the system to expand its presence in one of the community’s fastest-growing areas.

The tenants remain independent, but now Owensboro Health owns the buildings and the complex located at 2200 E. Parrish Avenue.

“With its ideal location and an excellent reputation for providing medical services, The Springs is well-established as one of Owensboro’s premier medical centers,” said Mark Marsh, president and chief executive officer of Owensboro Health. “This purchase gives us the opportunity to work with great providers who are tenants of The Springs. It also provides us with options to expand our services and grow the Owensboro Health brand along Highway 54.”

Since the purchase became final on Dec. 21, Marsh said Owensboro Health’s priority has been establishing good relations with current tenants and assessing any needs. He added that any plans for future growth or an expansion of services would be determined later.

The Springs complex consists of six buildings totaling approximately 180,000 square feet. Two of the buildings — Owensboro Health Outpatient Imaging (formerly RDI) and the Owensboro Health COVID-19 Testing Center (formerly Physicians Affiliated Care) — were already owned or leased by Owensboro Health prior to the most recent purchase. Close to 45 tenants are currently located within the complex’s buildings.
