In what began as a close race for district court judge for the 6th judicial district, 3rd division, Nick Burlew defeated opponent Misty Miller to be re-elected to a fourth term in the position.

Burlew, who has been district court judge since 2009, recognized that it was a tight race, and said he is looking forward to his fourth term as judge, adding that he is proud to continue serving the citizens of Daviess County.

Burlew watched the results at his home with a close group of friends and family and received updates from the clerk’s office website.

“I would like to thank the voters of Daviess County for all their support,” Burlew said.
