Owensboro Police Department responded at 3:18 a.m. Saturday morning to a report of armed robbery at the Quality Quick located at 1211 Breckenridge St. For now, OPD detectives are working to determine a suspect responsible for the early morning robbery.
The suspect was described as a white male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. After presenting a knife to clerks inside the store, the suspect demanded money and then fled on foot afterward.
OPD Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess said there was an undisclosed amount of money stolen from the Quality Quick, but Boggess said OPD is choosing not to disclose exactly how much was taken at this time.
No injuries were reported in relation to the armed robbery, Boggess said.
For now, detectives are looking into retrieving video footage that may have captured the incident.
