Sheriff’s Office releases more photos of AHS burglar

The suspect is a tall, athletically built male wearing black clothing and shoes, dark colored mask, black back pack and black gloves. The suspect is believed to have used a blunt object to force entry through a secure door.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office has released two additional photos of the suspect from the burglary of Apollo High School last Thursday.

According to DCSO Chief Dupty Barry Smith, the new photos came from school surveillance after investigators looked at all the footage from the day of the burglary.

“We are currently following up on leads which have been called in by the public and information obtain through investigation,” Smith said.

DCSO responded to a burglary at Apollo High School at 6:17 a.m. An employee at Apollo High School reported that he entered the front door of the school and heard an unknown suspect the door on the west side of the building toward Gemini Drive. The suspect is a tall, athletically built male wearing black clothing and shoes, dark colored mask, black back pack and black gloves. The suspect is believed to have used a blunt object to force entry through a secure door. After the Sheriff’s Office and Owensboro Police Department K9 Unit cleared the school and processed the scene the school appears to be safe. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
