A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of KY 764 in Daviess County starting Tuesday, June 18.

KY 764 will be closed at mile point 2.266 to allow a bridge over an unnamed tributary to Deserter Creek to be replaced. This closure is along KY 764 between Deserter Creek Road and Stevens School Road south of Whitesville.

KY 764 could be closed at this site between the Daviess-Ohio County Line and KY 54 for up to 40 days for the required work.

There will be a marked detour.

Once KY 764 reopens to traffic at this site, this work zone will remain active for several more weeks for finish work along the roadway.

This project is part of the 6-year Bridging Kentucky Program that is aimed at rehabilitating or replacing 1,000 critical bridges.  For more information go to www.bridgingkentucky.com.
