Eric Oden and Ashley Crafton left as more than just champions of the Dancing with Our Stars – Owensboro Style, the Boulware Mission’s largest fundraising event, they left as future husband and wife. The mirror ball champions captivated the audience Saturday night with their high energy line dance performance and received a standing ovation after Oden popped the question.

After their performance, Oden who said he is very competitive by nature said he didn’t care if he won or lost because he had already won with Ashley. He then pulled a ring out of his back pocket and dropped to one knee asking while asking Greer to marry him.

She said yes.

Baylee Long was also on the team with Oden and Crafton. While she was supposed to compete with Oden, she ended up getting an injury that resulted in her foot being in a walking orthopedic boot. She stayed on as their choreographer and pulled from her line dancing background to help with the team’s routine.

All the contestants echoed the same statements that the Boulware Mission was the true winner of the evening. The event raised nearly $130,000 for the mission who help displaced individuals overcome obstacles to their financial well-being and independence.

Leigha Taylor, executive director at the Boulware Mission, said she was so excited to see so many nonprofits and local businesses coming together for a great cause.

“Every dollar raised here tonight goes back to the mission,” she said. “We’ve been serving this community for 98 years. We’re giving a home to people who need a place to stay, who are down on their luck and we’re doing more than that, we’re trying to help them get back on their feet and live a normal life.”

An honorary mirror ball trophy was given to Jeffery Rhinerson, who was part of the Celebrity Spotlight couple. Second runners-up were Andrew Howard and Katrina Jones, first runners-up were Gail Niehaus and Jimmy Henning.
