High-speed chase involving possible child abduction ends in Spencer County; police searching for third suspect

A high-speed chase involving the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Spencer County Sheriff’s Office has ended in Indiana, but officials with DCSO say law enforcement is still searching for a male suspect who fled the scene on foot.

According to DCSO Chief Deputy Major Barry Smith, the chase involved a call related to attempted child abduction. No further details regarding the call have been confirmed at this time.

Indiana State Police has been called in to assist with the search for the third individual. A perimeter surrounding the area has been established, Smith said, and K-9 units are being requested.

The other two suspects involved in the chase are in police custody, Smith confirmed.
