The 2019 Taste of Owensboro is 6-9 p.m. Sept. 30.

Tickets are now on sale for the RiverPark Center’s largest fundraising event, Taste of Owensboro.

Attendees can save $10 by purchasing your tickets in advance. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door for the Sept. 30 event.

More than 30 area restaurants and regional wineries will be on-hand to let you sample their best culinary delights. This evening offers more than just samples, the event also features a sensational selection of items in our silent auction.

Faith Holley, Director of Development and Marketing, said they don’t have a full list of vendors yet but are hoping to have more than the 34 they had at last year’s event.

New this year is a jazz singer performing in Cannon Hall — Charlene Bray & the Second Edition.

“We also hope to have many of the new restaurants that have opened in Owensboro recently,” Holley said. “Taste of Owensboro is our largest fundraising event and it is a great way to try new restaurants, enjoy old favorites and do good.”

Holley said they hope to raise $25,000 this year through ticket sales, sponsorship and their silent auction.

Funds go to help RiverPark Center’s general operating costs, this includes nearly $500,000 in expenses related to keeping the building open and operating such as insurance, utilities and basic maintenance; costs that are not covered through ticket sales.
