Lamb’s low score leads DC to JV City-County golf title

Daviess County freshman Dawson Lamb was the individual medalist, and he led the Panthers to a team title in the JV City-County golf tournament Tuesday at Ben Hawes. Owensboro Catholic narrowly beat out Owensboro for second place, and Apollo finished fourth.

Lamb posted a 39, while senior teammate Kegan Hall’s 41 was good for second individually. OHS 7th-grader Will Hume took third with a 44.

The Panthers shot 172 as a team, and they also got scoring from Grayson Powers (45) and Hunter Smith (47).

The Aces carded 210 as a team and were led by Will Fulkerson (48), followed by Houston Danzer (53), Barrett Martin (54) and Tucker Ray (55).

Owensboro shot 212 and also got scores from Hayden Crabtree (46), Noah Newton (56) and Landon Block (66).

Apollo’s team score of 233 was led by Aiden Watson (51). Other scorers were Jackson Lindsey (57), Caleb Poe (60) and Harrison Dillbeck (65).
