According to scanner traffic from Owensboro-Daviess County Central Dispatch and Owensboro Police Department, an OPD officer was struck in his patrol car during a hit-and-run at Carter Road and Parrish Avenue. The airbags in his vehicle deployed.
The Kentucky State Police are investigating the incident.
