Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association Convention runs through Friday night

The 2020 Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association Convention and Ag Industry Trade Show kicks off today in downtown Owensboro at the Owensboro Convention Center where more than 1,200 are expected to attend. The event runs through Friday night.

The trade show is open to the public and begins at 10 a.m. Thursday. There is a $10 entry fee.

The event ends with a banquet that will feature the 2020 KCA Hall of Fame inductions.

According to the KCA website, the association is a grassroots organization with 99 chapters in 120 counties, that works to protect, advance and be a strong voice for the state’s 38,000-plus cattle producers.

As the largest cattle producing state east of the Mississippi River, Kentucky is home to more than 1.1 million beef cows and ranks fifth nationally in total number of farms.
