Mitch Settle, senior vice president at Baird Private Wealth Management in Owensboro, was named as one of Forbes Magazine’s “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors.” Settle was ranked as the #3 wealth advisor in the state of Kentucky.

The rankings are based on data provided by more than 11,000 of the nation’s most productive advisors. Advisors do not pay for a fee for placement on Forbes Top Advisor rankings, which are independently determined by Shook Research.

According to Forbes, Settle’s team assets total $638 million. Settle was also named to Forbes’ Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in 2019, where he ranked 4th in the state. Settles said his team’s biggest focuses are placed on retirement and estate planning for their clients.

Settle commends his team for the high ranking and honor of being named a Best-in-State Wealth Advisor, telling Owensboro Times that “it’s not about me — it’s about my team.”

“I believe our work ethic sets us apart,” he said. “Everyone gets here pretty early, and they know I have very high standards. Everybody knows I have very high expectations. When you’re dealing with someone’s financial health, that’s a big deal.”

Settle has 34 years of experience and is one of few wealth advisors who hold the Chartered Wealth Advisor (CWA) designation, which is awarded only to Baird Financial Consultants who have completed an extensive program concerning the varied aspects of wealth management.

Other accomplishments of Settle’s include being listed as one of the “Top 1200 Financial Advisors” in Barron’s magazine for nine years straight, as well as being named one of the “Top 400 Advisors” in America by the Financial Times.
