Man charged with robbery after shooting incident at Chautauqua Park

The Owensboro Police Department has arrested Ty G. Hardison, 18, in connection with a shooting incident at Chautauqua Park on Saturday.

Hardison, of Owensboro, was booked into the Daviess County Jail on a charge of first-degree robbery Sunday morning.

Owensboro-Daviess County Central Dispatch reported Saturday that nurses at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital called police about 3:24 p.m. for a man who had been shot in the arm at Chautauqua Park.

Hardison was the person who was shot at Chautauqua Park.

Owensboro Police Department Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess said Hardison shot himself and that this is an ongoing investigation.

Hardison is scheduled for a court appearance Monday morning.

First-degree robbery is a Class B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison.
