The Daviess County Fiscal Court will host a second public forum regarding the proposed non-discrimination ordinance this Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Brescia University’s Taylor Hall located at 717 Frederica St.

Both court-hosted forums were arranged to provide the community adequate time to publicly make their comments/concerns known to the members of Daviess County Fiscal Court.

Once Monday’s forum ends and all have had the opportunity to comment, no public comments will be considered at the ordinance’s first or second readings. It is probable that the first reading will be scheduled for March 3 and the second reading for March 19 — both during the 5 p.m. Daviess County Fiscal Court meeting.

For Daviess County residents wanting to speak Monday, doors will open at 6 p.m. to allow time for speakers to sign in. The public may park in student-designated parking for this event only.

For wheelchair entry, a back entrance ramp is available that leads to the upper level of Taylor Hall. To attend this meeting, accommodations for disabled persons may be arranged by contacting the DCFC ADA Administrator at 270-685-8424.
