Starting today, the Owensboro Sanitation Department will temporarily suspend the collection of yard waste in an effort to comply with the essential service restrictions.

Additional measures have been implemented to reduce the exposure of staff in order to continue to provide these essential services. There will be no change to the residential collection.

Included in the basic service of yard waster collection is limbs (under 6 inches in diameter), shrubs (without root balls), brush, Christmas trees and other common yard trimmings (excluding grass). Collection includes up to one pickup truck sized load weekly.
